Early Childhood Center/Holy Angels

Dec. 08
Dear Parents,
With the busy month of December upon us, remember to spend special time with your children and yourself. Sitting by the Christmas tree and sharing some hot chocolate is a great way to relax. Take time for a ride around town to admire and enjoy the Christmas lights and decorations. Enjoy each day.
Our objectives for December include:
- Singing Christmas songs and concluding with a Christmas sing-a-long
- Enjoying new stories
- Exploring new and different art materials
- Continuing name recognition
- Discussing Jesus’ Birthday and Christmas
- Experimenting with cooking activities
Throughout December we will be collecting new hats, scarfs and mittens. They will be distributed to children in need. You may bring them to the classroom. Thank you for your kindness.
Also, we would like everyone to please bring in one wrapped book for a gift exchange. Please do not include a name on your child’s book (to or from) We will play a special game and everyone will go home with a new story to share. The wrapped books are due on December 16th. Thank you very much for helping to share the gift of reading.
On December 16th we will share great stories, snacks and laughs during a Christmas celebration. The children may bring a party snack to share if they would like. (i.e. crackers, pretzels, sun chips etc…Mrs. White and I will make a special Christmas punch with the children to enjoy along with the party snacks.
The afternoon class will be joining the morning class for the Christmas program on December 18th . We ask that the afternoon class please arrive at school at 8:00 a.m. We invite all families to the gym at 9:30 for our Christmas program. Cookies and punch will follow the program. Daycare will still be provided for the children who normally attend.
We wish all of you a beautiful holiday season and a Happy Healthy New Year. We will resume class on Tuesday January 6th.
Merry Christmas,
Mrs. West and Mrs. White
