The
Development Office
Welcome to one of the major “Hearts” that keeps SCCS beating!
History
The original Development Office was established in the late 1970’s by the St. Mary Central Catholic High School Education Foundation in order to raise monies for the academic wing and the multi-purpose room at the school. Once this project was completed and paid for, their efforts continued in collaboration with the development office to raise funds for technology, teacher subsidies and tuition assistance.
In time, the Development Office, with a strong focus on marketing, evolved into a cooperative venture that included the Education Foundation, the three Catholic elementary schools in Sandusky, St. Mary Central Catholic High School and the Huron elementary Catholic school. The goal was to increase enrollment. The development efforts focused on inviting the alumni into active participation, developing relationships with donors and increasing our donor base. In 2002 the three Sandusky elementary schools and St. Mary Central Catholic unified into one entity now known as Sandusky Central Catholic School.
